State Required Auto Insurance

It's probably no surprise that each state has decided upon it's own specific insurance requirements. Your insurance agent or company should be able to help you with knowing what is required in your State but feel free to investigate below for a brief explanation.

Remember, just because you are only "required" to have a certain level does not mean that is the recommended amount of insurance to have. In most cases you run the risk of being under-insured if you only have the minimum amount. If you are under-insured you are leaving yourself with an increased risk for a lawsuit in the case of an accident!
